Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe

Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe (commonly referred to as Wet ‘n Wild or Emerald Pointe) is a water park located in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States and part of the Wet ‘n Wild chain. There are 40 rides and attractions, including 5 pools, 2 children’s areas and one of the largest wave pools in the country. The Themed Entertainment Association ranks the park as the 20th most visited park in North America, with 07,000 visitors in 2015. The main regional competitors are Carowinds Carolina Marina in Charlotte, North Carolina and Dollywood Water Park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The park, originally called Aqua Gardens, opened in September 1983. From 1984 to 1986, the name Water Country USA was used. In 1986, it was bought by a local company and renamed Emerald Pointe. In March 1999, Ogden Corp purchased the property along with the Raging Waters and Wet ‘n Wild properties and renamed the park Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe. In 2019, the latest attraction “Bombs Away” was presented to the public at the end of the season, which was originally supposed to open in the 2020 season. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, its opening was postponed to the 2022 season.

Exciting slides will be transformed into full sensory experiences by installing new light and sound systems that will surprise the riders’ senses like never before. Riders fly through each slide on electric vehicles that send them down and up approximately 100, 161 and 176 feet with a pulse of bright light and dynamic sound. These reborn state-of-the-art attractions will add to the fun in 2023. Spend the day exploring our 40 fun attractions! From mild to wild, we have something for everyone to enjoy. Float down the Lazy River, hit Thunder Bay’s wave pool or boost Bombs Away or Daredevil Drop for a thrill. There is no better way to fully enjoy the Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe experience than to rent a private Cabin for the day. Relax by the pool in the comfort of your shaded space at any time during your visit to the park. Cabin rental includes chairs, deck chairs and table. Renting a private cabin for the day gives you a nice shaded area to retreat to whenever you need a break from the entertainment and activities! If you want to relax, read a book in the shade or enjoy a meal, the private Cabin awaits. Cabanas also offers mobile ordering of food and beverage table service. You can order a variety of favorite foods to enjoy in your private space. You’ll find a variety of cabin options throughout the park, including near the Thunder Bay Wave Pool and Happy Harbor. Dining is a big part of the Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe experience! Whether you want sandwiches, burgers, pizza, sweet treats or something else, they have it all for you.

 

 

Take a break from all the sights and excitement to enrich yourself with a delicious meal. Between swimming, splashing and sliding at Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe, you’re sure to work up an appetite during your visit. Be sure to go to Captain Eli’s for a filling and satisfying meal! Conveniently located right in the middle of the park, even the pickiest crabber will find something to love in our extensive selection of all-American classics. Restock at all your favorite restaurants. Choose from grilled burgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, fries and more! Wash it all down with our cold Pepsi fountain drinks and bottled drinks. Young children can also choose PBandJ. This is the best place in the park if you want to eat something quick, easy and delicious. Enjoy delicious popcorn chicken nuggets with hot seasoned curly fries with your choice of delicious dips. Popcorn shrimp with potatoes, served with tartare or cocktail sauce. Pepsi fountain drinks are also available along with select bottled beverages.
