Kirkwood is a classic in Greensboro, situated between Old and New Irving Park and was developed right after WWII.  There are approximately 637 homes over 0.5 square miles and are made up of charming bungalows that typically have large deep lots but are homes that are close together.  Most of them were 2 bedroom and 1 bath at original construction and most have been added on to make them now 3 and 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  This neighborhood is known for its community events and voluntary HOA.  Events such as Kirkstock, Christmas parade, 4^th of July Parade, Kirkwood 5K make this neighborhood so special.  Its also walking distance to some shops and restaurants on Lawndale.
